We’re back! Sid’s West African Style drumming class, open to everybody, from “never touched a drum before” absolute beginners, to performance hardened players.
We learn, drill and practice traditional Djembe technique and play West African rhythms.
In addition to the Djembe, technique and parts for other instruments found in a West African style drumming ensemble such as Dunduns, bells and shakers will be taught.
$20 per casual class or $100 for a 6 week term

Asalatua Workshop
Responding to some requests, I'll be running an Asalatua/Kashaka workshop! I'll be teaching grips, and a step by step process of learning to hold a groove with the instrument. If the group is up for it, I might show a couple of extra tricks too!
